Africa Indigenous Knowledge Research Network (AIKRN)

Who We Are

A community that supports the socio-economic well-being of Indigenous youth and communities in Africa and Canada

What We Do

We connect consultations with research hubs and  partners in Africa and Canada through participatory research.

Our Vision

To preserve African Indigenous knowledge through collaboration with elders, leaders, gatekeepers, and youth.

Amplifying African Indigenous Knowledge

Our initiative champions the authenticity of African Indigenous knowledge through co-creation, collaboration, and partnerships with custodians of wisdom—community elders, traditional leaders, rainmakers, gatekeepers, and youth. The Network is a deliberate effort to reclaim and amplify Indigenous knowledge, challenging its historical silencing and subjugation.
